The best
combination of a parents consists of a father who is
gentle beneath his firmness, and a mother who is firm
beneath her gentleness

~~~My Parents~~~
My love for them is unlimited &
countless.It's because of them I am here.Without them I
have no existance. I can't forget
what they have done & their love & affection for
me.I Love you mom and dad. I dedicate this page to my
loving parents.We should have to respect and obey our
parents.
We often find conflcts between our way of
thinking and we call it as generation gap but have we
ever thought that they are elder then us and they
are more experienced in life. So they can never think any
harm to us. They are our welwishers and they always want
their child to be on top of the world. After all we need
their love and so they do. We should not forget their
love until our last day of life and we have to perform
our duties as ideal children.In their old days we should
have to take care of them.Whatever we do whereever we go
we should have to give time to them because when we were child
they took care of us and it's because of them we are what
we are.So we should take care of them in their old days.
We should make them feel that they are not alone we are
always with them.Remember one day we will also become old
and will be in the same postion.
~~~Parental Balancing Act~~~

"The hardest part of raising children
is teaching them to ride bicycles. A father can either
run beside the bicycle or stand yelling directions while
the child falls. A shaky child on a bicycle for the first
time needs both support and freedom. The realization that
this is what the child will always need can hit hard.
Sloan Wilson

~~~What
Exactly is a Family ?~~~
Most families are, of course, made up
of members related by blood or marriage, but the term
family can describe any group of people drawn together by
intimate ties and shared goals. And this sense of family
seems sometimes to make people stronger individually and
collectively.
Often families will informally
"adopt" a friend to share holidays and special
occasions with them, describing the friend as "one
of the family". Or a youngster may form a close
relationship with a relative outside the immediate
family, making that person a role model and mentor. Great
Britain's Prince Charle had such a relationship with his
father's uncle Lord Mountbatten, whose almost legendary
achievements in war and peace the young prince profoundly
respected.Charles referred to Mountbatten as his
"honorary grandfather."
I ran into a
stranger as he passed by. "Oh excuse me please" was my reply. He said,
"Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you." We were very Polite,
this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said good-bye.
But at home a different story is told, how we treat our loved ones,
young and old. Later that day, cooking the evening meal, my son stood
beside me very still. When turned, I nearly knocked him down. "Move out
of the way," I said with a frown. He walked away, his little heart
broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken. While I
lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said, "While
dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the children you
love, you seem to abuse.
Go look on the kitchen floor, you'll find some flowers there by the
door." "Those are the flowers he brought for you! He picked them
himself; pink yellow and blue. He stood very quietly not to spoil the
surprise, and you never saw the tears that filled his little yes."
By this time, I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall. I
quietly went and knelt by
his bed; "Wake up, little one, wake up," I said. "Are these the flowers
you picked for me?" He smiled, "I found 'em out by the tree." "I picked
them because they're pretty like you. I knew you’d like 'em, especially
the blue.
" I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't
have yelled at you that way." He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you
anyway. I said, "Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers,
especially the blue."
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working
for could easily replace us in a matter of days? But the family we left
behind will feel the loss for
the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our
own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? So what is
behind the story? Do you know what the word FAMILY means? FAMILY = (F)ATHER
