Give a kind word

Do you know a heart that hungers
For a word of love and cheer?

There are many such about us;
It may be that one is near.

Look around you. If you find it
Speak the word that's needed so,

And your own heart may be strengthened
By the help that you bestow.

Never think kind words are wasted,
Bread on waters cast are they,

And it may be we shall find them
Coming back to us, some day.

Coming back when sorely needed,
In a time of sore distress,

So, my friend, let's give them freely;
Gift and giver God will bless.

Be Thankful for who you are

 Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings, thank  you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.

 Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long  as possible, thank you, Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.

 Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising, thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.

 Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost,  toast is burned and tempers are short, my children are so loud, thank you,  Lord, for my family. There are many who are lonely.

 Even though our breakfast table never looks like the pictures in  magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced, thank you, Lord, for the  food we have. There are many who are hungry.

 Even though the routine of my job often is monotonous, thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.

 Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest, thank you, Lord, for life!

Anyway.....Use it as key to melt the Metal Doors.!

1. People are illogical, unreasonable and self-centered.
Love and trust them anyway.

2. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish and
ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

3. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true
enemies.
Succeed anyway.

4. The service you render today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Serve people anyway.

5. Honesty and frankness will make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

6. The biggest men with the biggest ideas can be shot down by
the smallest men with the smallest ideas.
Think big anyway.

7. People pretend to love the "little" people but sell their
souls to the "big" people.
Fight for the "little" people anyway.

8. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

9. People really need help, but may attack you if you do help.
Help people anyway.

10. Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the
teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

..(..Don't give a damn face to World as you're doing "Feel
Good" Sam

Go for goal!!!!

Strive for your goals, live out a dream,

Hold your life in the highest esteem.

Reach for the stars; touch the sky;

Just do it! Don't question why!

Take charge of your life, it's never too late,

If something needs changing don't hesitate!

Dare to be different; set your spirit free,

Try something new! Be whatever you want to be!

Respect the old; cherish the new,

And to your friends always be true.

Lend a helping hand, do a good deed,

Make a difference to someone in need!

Live life to the fullest with honor and grace,

Try to make this world we live in a better place!

Simple Endless Truth...!

 1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it,
but it will be yours for the entire period this time
around.

 2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time,
informal school called life. Each day in this school,
you will have the opportunity to learn lessons.
You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant and
stupid.

 3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a
process of trial and error, experimentation. The
"failed" experiments are as much a part of the process
as the experiment that ultimately "works."

 4. A lesson is repeated until it is learned. A lesson
will be presented to you in various forms until you
have learned it. Then you can go on to the next lesson.

 5. Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of
life that does not contain lessons. If you are alive,
there are lessons to be learned.

 6. "There" is no better than "here." When your "there"
has become a "here," you will simply obtain another
"there" that again, looks better than "here."

 7. Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love
or hate something about another person unless it
reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

 8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have
all the tools and resources you need; what you do with
them is up to you. The choice is yours.

 9. The answers lie inside you. The answers to life's
questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look,
listen, and trust.

 10. You will forget all this.

I've learned

I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned.... That just one person saying to me, "You've made my
day!" makes my day.

I've learned.... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of
the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.

I've learned.... That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I've learned.... That I can always pray for someone when I don't have
the strength to help him in some other way.

I've learned.... That no matter how serious your life requires you to
be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold
and a heart to understand.

I've learned.... That simple walks with my father around the block on
summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer
it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned.... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything
we ask for.

I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned.... That it's those small daily happenings that make life
so spectacular.

I've learned... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants
to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned.... That the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes
me think I can?

I've learned.... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned.... That when you plan to get even with someone, y u are
only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned.... That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to
surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a
smile.

I've learned.... That there's nothing sweeter than sleeping with your
babies and feeling their breath on your cheeks.

I've learned.... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with
them.

I've learned.... That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned.... That opportunities are never lost; someone will take
the ones you miss.

I've learned.... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock
elsewhere.

I've learned.... That I wish I could have told my Dad that I love him
one more time before he passed away.

I've learned.... That one should keep his words both soft and tender,
because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your
looks.

I've learned.... That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what
I do about it.

I've learned.... That when your newly born grandchild holds your little
finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life.

I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain,
but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned ... That it is best to give advice in only two
circumstances; when it is requested and when it is a life threatening situation.

I've learned.... That the less time I have to work with, the more
things I get done.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong,
as they sometimes will
When the low & debts are high
When you want to smile
But have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit...
Rest if you must
But don't you QUIT!

Life is queen with it's twists & turns
As everyone of us sometimes hears,
And many a fellow turn about
When he might have won
Had he stuck it out
Don't you give up through the pace seems slow...
You may succeed with another slow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint & flattering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the Victors cup;

And he learned too late
When the night came down
How close he was to the Golden Crown.

Success is failure
Turned inside out...
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell
How close you are

It may be near
When it seems a far;
So stick to the fight
When you are the hardest hit...
It's when the things seem worst

THAT YOU MUSN'T "QUIT"

The greatest things

The best day - Today;

The greatest sin - Fear;

The best gift - Forgiveness;

The meanest feeling - Jealousy;

The greatest need - Common sense;

The most expensive indulgence - Hatred;

The greatest troublemaker - Talking too much;

The best of oneself - Gentleness & cheerfulness.

The cheapest stupidity easiest to do - Finding faults;

The greatest teacher - One who makes you want to learn;

The cleverest man - One who does what he thinks is right;

The worst bankrupt - The soul that has lost it’s enthusiasm;

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy...

 Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was
 allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the
 fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The
 other
 man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours
 on
 end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs,
 their
 involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

 Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he
 would
 pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see
 outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those
 one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all
 the
 activity and color of the world outside.The window overlooked a park with
 a
 lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed
 their
 model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color
 of
the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the
 city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window
 described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the
 room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

 One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by.
 Although the other man couldn't hear the band -he could see it. In his
 mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive
 words. Days and weeks passed.

 One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to
 find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully
 in
 his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the

 body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he
 could
 be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and
 after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly,
 painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at
 the
 world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself. He

 strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a
 blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his
 deceased
 roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

 The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the
 wall.
 She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

 Epilogue: There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite
 our
 own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when
 shared,
 is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have
 that money can't buy. "Today is a gift, that's why it is called the
 present."

I wish I were...

I wish I were big enough to honestly admit all my shortcomings
Brilliant enough to accept flattery
without it making me arrogant
Tall enough to tower over deceit
Strong enough to treasure love
Brave enough to welcome criticism
Compassionate enough to understand human frailties
Wise enough to recognize my mistakes
Humble enough to appreciate greatness
Staunch enough to stand by my friends
Humble enough to be thoughtful of my neighbor
And righteous enough to be devoted to the love of God

 Paradox of Age

We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers;
wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints;
We spend more, but have less;
We buy more, but enjoy it less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families;
more conveniences, but less time;
We have more degrees, but less sense;
more knowledge, but less judgment;
more experts, but more problems;
more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much,
smoke too much,
spend too recklessly,
laugh too little,
drive too fast,
get too angry too quickly,
stay up too late,
get up too tired,
read too seldom,
watch TV too much,
and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, love too seldom and lie too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life;
we've added years to life, not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor.

We've conquered outer space, but not inner space;
we've done larger things, but not better things;
we've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul;
we've split the atom, but not our prejudice;
we write more, but learn less;
plan more, but accomplish less.

We've learned to rush, but not to wait;
we have higher incomes; but lower morals;
more food but less appeasement;
more acquaintances, but fewer friends;
more effort but less success.

We build more computers to hold more information,
to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication;
we've become long on quantity, but short on quality.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion;
tall men, and short character;
steep profits, and shallow relationships.

These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare;
more leisure and less fun;
more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

These are days of two incomes, but more divorce;
of fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips,
disposable diapers,
throwaway morality,
one-night stands,
overweight bodies,
and pills that do everything from cheer,
to quiet,
to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the show window
and nothing in the stockroom.

Indeed it's all true.

Time

The clock is running. Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR
Ask a student who has failed his exam.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH
Ask a mother who has given birth to a pre-mature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE DAY
Ask a daily wage laborer who has ten kids to feed.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR
Ask the two lovers who are waiting to meet or . . .

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE
Ask a person who has missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE SECOND
Ask a person who has survived an accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLI-SECOND
Ask the person who has won a silver medal in Olympics.

So let us treasure every moment, because TIME wait’s for no one -

Money

Money can buy a bed but not sleep,

Money can buy books but not brains,

Money can buy food but not appetite,

Money can buy medicine but not health,

Money can buy amusement but not happiness,

Money can buy house but not love.

 Live life to the fullest

If you treasure the beauty
that shows all around you,
and try to add some on your own,

Enjoy the companionship others can give you,
yet value your moments alone,

If you honour opinions that differs from yours,
yet stand up for what you believe,

Admire the accomplishment others have made,
and yet take pride in what you can achieve,

If you are a real friend,
who always comes through when it counts,
who always is worthy of trust,

If you follow your heart anywhere it leads you,
and do what you feel you must,

If you love those around you and love yourself too,
If your spirit is eager and free,

Then you know what it means,
To live life at it’s fullest and
Be the "BEST U CAN".
